Global Virtual Event for Diageo
April 16, 2026David Meade, motivational keynote speaker delivers a global virtual event for Diageo’s Brand Home division.
Diageo's Global Event
David Meade was delighted to partner with Diageo once again for a global virtual event that brought together teams from across the organisation’s renowned Brands Home division. Diageo is one of the world’s most respected beverage companies, home to many of the most iconic brands in the industry.
For more than a decade David has worked with the organisation in a variety of roles, and this event offered a particularly exciting opportunity. To connect with the people who deliver the extraordinary guest experiences behind some of the world’s most celebrated breweries and visitor attractions.
The session united colleagues from multiple offices, venues, and visitor destinations across the Diageo network. From senior leaders to front line team members, everyone came together for a shared moment of learning and reflection. The Brands Home teams are responsible for creating immersive experiences that welcome visitors from around the world, and their reputation for excellence has helped make these attractions among the most memorable in the global drinks industry.
Virtual Keynote Speaker
David’s keynote was delivered virtually but designed to feel anything but remote. Broadcasting from his professional production studio – with broadcast quality cameras and 4K transmission – he created an experience that was dynamic, polished, and highly engaging. The goal was simple. To challenge the audience to raise the bar even higher when it comes to the guest experience.
His session explored the science and psychology of mindset, confidence, and high performance. David examined how expectations shape outcomes, particularly during periods of change and uncertainty. He encouraged the audience to adopt a forward looking perspective, showing how positive thinking, ownership, and resilience can influence both individual performance and team culture. His message was clear. Success is not guaranteed in every moment, but the way we respond to challenge defines the results we ultimately achieve.
The keynote was deliberately interactive. Participants were invited to reflect on their own roles in shaping the guest journey and to consider how small shifts in behaviour can lead to extraordinary experiences for visitors. David shared practical insights drawn from psychology and behavioural science, helping the audience see how their daily actions influence the way guests feel, remember, and talk about their experiences.
Although virtual events can sometimes feel distant or flat, this session proved the opposite. The energy was high from the opening moment. Conversations flowed through the chat, exercises prompted reflection across teams, and laughter filled the virtual room. David has long believed that audiences learn best when they are actively involved, and that humour and enjoyment make ideas far more memorable. As he often says, “people remember lessons more clearly when they have had fun discovering them”.
David's Comments
Speaking about the experience, David said,
“The Brands Home teams at Diageo are exceptional at what they do. Their passion for creating unforgettable guest experiences is inspiring, and it was a real privilege to spend time with the people who bring these world class brands to life every day.”
Preparation for the event involved close collaboration with the leadership and event teams. David worked carefully with them to understand the context in which the Brands Home teams operate, the challenges they are navigating, and the ambitions they hold for the future. That preparation ensured the content was tailored to the audience and relevant to the realities of their work.
Thank you Diageo
He was also keen to recognise the team behind the scenes who made the event possible. David expressed sincere thanks to Eimear, Kate, and Anastasia for their exceptional support in preparing the brief and ensuring every detail was aligned ahead of the session. Their preparation and partnership played a major role in making the event run smoothly.
The session ended with a strong sense of optimism and momentum. Teams left energised, motivated, and ready to apply the insights they had explored together. For David, it was another memorable chapter in a long standing relationship with Diageo and a reminder of the power of bringing great teams together around a shared vision for the future.
