Unlocking High Performance with MPI
November 1, 2025David Meade joins Insights Ireland 2025 by MPI to deliver a motivational keynote around navigating uncertainty and unlocking high performance.
Insights Ireland by MPI
David Meade was delighted to join Meetings Professional International for a landmark gathering at the K Club Hotel in Kildare. Known across the world simply as MPI, the organisation represents some of the most influential meeting, conference, and event planners in the global industry. Their Insights Ireland summit brought together more than one hundred senior professionals, each shaping experiences that drive connection, innovation, and legacy in countries across the world. The atmosphere reflected the calibre of the audience. Focused, creative, and forward looking.
The K Club provided a striking setting for the event. Its historic architecture and 5-star hospitality added a sense of occasion as delegates arrived from all over the globe. The purpose of the gathering was clear. To examine the future of the events industry and to explore how leaders can continue to innovate in a world where expectations, technology, and audience behaviour are evolving at speed.
A Keynote in Co. Kildare
David was invited as a keynote speaker to energise, engage, and inspire. His session examined how individuals and teams can navigate uncertainty, how they can use evidence based psychology to unlock high performance, and how leaders can invest in their own development to achieve their full potential. These themes resonated strongly with a room filled with professionals who design experiences for others but often forget to prioritise their own growth.
He explored how growth mindset can fundamentally shift the DNA of an organisation. He outlined how curiosity, resilience, and personal ownership can drive better performance. The session also addressed how teams can overcome chaos and pressure by adopting practical psychological tools that improve clarity and focus. The content felt timely and relevant for a sector that is constantly asked to adapt and reinvent itself.
Speaking about the experience, David said,
MPI sets the standard for what an event community can achieve when it comes together with purpose. The creativity and ambition in the room were extraordinary. It was a privilege to be part of a day that will play such an important role in shaping the industry’s future.
MPI Give a Hand
A central highlight of David’s contribution was the Give a Hand programme, delivered through Lightbulb Teams. In this powerful activity, every participant built a prosthetic hand that will be donated to a person in the developing world. The room shifted from high energy to heartfelt reflection as delegates realised the impact they were creating. The exercise aligned perfectly with MPI’s focus on meaningful events that leave a legacy. It brought a sense of purpose and connection that many described as the most memorable moment of the day.
Delegates embraced the activity with enthusiasm. Their willingness to take part illustrated the character of the MPI community. A group that not only designs impactful events but also cares deeply about the people they serve. The interaction, teamwork, and emotion of the session created a shared experience that will be remembered long after the conference ended.
